About LifeCare Connect
LifeCare Connect Nigeria Limited is the CAC-registered umbrella commercial entity through which every Group platform is marketed, contracted and delivered in Nigeria and across Africa. It sits under the Ancestra Group parent brand, alongside LifeCare Medical Group. The Group operates five platforms, three in active focus — Ancestra Health, QualiSentinel and JAPAC Accreditation — with OneHealth Sentinel and NCD Sentinel pursued through a government and public-sector motion. We are opening our founding operations base in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, with a launch targeted for January 2027.
Role overview
The Finance/Accounts Manager owns the Group’s financial control environment — budgeting, invoicing, payables, statutory remittance and financial record retention — executing the Finance & Accounting SOP series the Group has already built, and standing up the day-to-day bookkeeping the Uyo office launch requires.
Key responsibilities
- Own the Finance & Accounting SOP series: financial resource planning and budgeting, client invoicing and revenue recognition, accounts payable and external-provider payments.
- Own statutory remittance execution and reconciliation — PAYE, pension, NHF, NSITF, WHT and VAT — and financial record control and retention.
- Confirm pricing and commercial terms during contract review before contracts are issued for client signature.
- Hold payment-initiation and approval authority within the Group’s defined segregation-of-duties tiers.
- Own Finance-specific nonconformity and corrective action handling, support internal audits of financial records, and provide Finance’s input to the Management Review.
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and statutory filings for LifeCare Connect Nigeria Limited.
- Support annual budgeting and cash-flow planning for the Uyo office launch and ongoing Group-wide operations.
Requirements & qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- ICAN or ACCA membership, or final-stage candidacy, required.
- Minimum 5 years’ accounting or finance management experience, ideally in a services or multi-entity environment.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian statutory compliance obligations (FIRS, PAYE, pension, NSITF, NHF, VAT/WHT).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage or Zoho Books) and advanced Excel.
- High attention to detail and integrity in handling financial controls.
What we offer
- Ownership of the Group’s finance function from the ground up, on a documented control framework.
- Direct commercial visibility across every client contract the Group signs.
- A founding role in the Uyo office with a clear path as the Group scales.
